Thanksgiving

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Be thankful for what you've got! Thank the Lord for it!

Remember, it's not just Turkey Day, it's a day to look at what you've got. We've all recieved more blessings from God's hand than we can realize. But let's try to see as many as we can recognize.

There's an old proverb I've heard lately:

There was an aging Chinese man with one acre of land, one horse, and one son. One day, his son accidentally left the gate open, and the horse ran away. All his friends came to talk to him about it, and they all said "Well, that's sad! Isn't it a shame?," but he quietly and thoughtfully said, "I'm not sure if this is good or bad." Of course, they all tried to tell him it was bad. Several days later, his horse returned! While out running, it had run with a group of wild horses, which followed the horse home. Suddenly, the man had 5 more horses! All his friends came to talk to him about it, and they all said "Well, that's wonderful! Aren't you excited?," but he quietly and thoughtfully said, "I'm not sure if this is good or bad." Of course, they all tried to tell him it was good. Then, while his son was taming one of the wild horses, the horse broke away and broke the son's leg. All his friends came to talk to him about it, and they all said "Your only son! Isn't it sad?," but he quietly and thoughtfully said, "I'm not sure if this is good or bad." Of course, they all tried to tell him it was bad. Before his leg healed, a war began, and there came a mandate for all able-bodied young men to join the military forces. Because of his leg, he did not go off to war and die as many young men did.

The point here is, we have blessings, even if they're in disguise or if we don't know it yet. Appreciate them!

Personal Progress/Song

Hi guys! Sorry, the camera isn't cooperating, so i can't put the pictures on quite yet. I finished another personal progress project. So that will be 3 down, 5 to go. For the one I just finished it was Divine Nature, and I wrote my own arrangement of The First Noel. It is on sheet music because someone in our ward let us borrow their little device! Talk to you later!

p.s: there is now a personal progress online!!! LDS.org under young women! :)
